Jason Wingard, Ph.D.
President & CEO
Jason Wingard, Ph.D., is President and CEO of The Education Board, Inc., a management consulting firm specializing in organizational strategy, leadership development, and business planning. He also serves as President of The Education Board Foundation, a foundation that provides financial assistance to disadvantaged youth populations.
Dr. Wingard is also Managing Director and Chief Learning Officer at Goldman Sachs, a global investment bank. In this role, he is responsible for the strategy and implementation of learning and development solutions for the firm's global workforce.
Previously, Dr. Wingard served as Vice Dean of Executive Education and Adjunct Professor of Management at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. At Wharton, he led one of the world's largest providers of leadership development for managers and executives. He also served as Senior Vice President of Regional Markets at ePals, Inc. and President & CEO of the ePals Foundation. ePals, Inc. is the world’s leading provider of school-safe collaborative learning products, and the ePals Foundation is a non-profit operating foundation providing best-in-class technology-based educational solutions for underserved children, schools, families, and communities around the world.
Prior to joining ePals, he was Executive Director of the Stanford Educational Leadership Institute (SELI) at Stanford University. At SELI, he was responsible for overseeing professional development programming and research projects focussed on urban school leaders nationwide. Dr. Wingard has also served in a variety of cross-functional executive roles for organizations including the Aspen Institute, the Vanguard Group and Silicon Graphics, Inc. (SGI).
During his career, Dr. Wingard has gained experience and provided customized leadership and professional development solutions for a variety of sectors including corporate, non-profit, sports & entertainment, higher education, and K-12 education. He has taught courses on entrepreneurship, management, and organizational learning at both Stanford University and the University of Pennsylvania. He has also conducted management and leadership development seminars, workshops, and coaching interventions around the world.
Dr. Wingard currently serves on the Board of Directors for Touchstone Education, Inc. and the Zoeza Institute (Chair). He also is co-founder and Senior Advisor of the Philadelphia Youth Sports Collaborative. Previously, he served on the Board of Directors for the National Center for Fathering and United Cerebral Palsy of Philadelphia.
He holds a BA in Sociology (Organizational Behavior & Social Psychology) from Stanford University, a MA in Education from Emory University, an EdM in Technology in Education from Harvard University, and a doctorate degree in Education, Culture, and Society (Corporate Education) from the University of Pennsylvania. He lives with his wife and five children in Chestnut Hill, PA.
